Mom.

Today I watched a mother
patiently wiping
her daughter's bottom clean

And I thanked God
that my mother
did the same for me

I thanked God
that my mother
did not leave me
by the roadside to die

I thanked God
that my mother
has the patience
to deal with my shit

I thanked God
that my mother
is still alive
till now
